About E&G Automotive
Automobiles have been in the Lubarsky family's blood for three generations. Eric Lubarsky's grandfather worked in a machine shop and also restored antique autos, including Rolls Royces. His father owned an auto repair shop. In 1988, Eric graduated from Wyoming Technical School with an associates degree in automotive technology, and in 1991 he and his father formed E&G Automotive.
Formerly located in West Springfield, E&G Automotive has provided quality car care to customers in western Massachusetts since 1991. Since relocating to Chicopee in 2008, we are ready to serve the people of Chicopee, Springfield and surrounding communities with a complete menu of services for domestic and foreign automobiles, light trucks and corporate fleets.
Domestic Autos
Regular professional maintenance will save you money, regardless of how much you drive. E&G provides complete maintenance and repair services for all makes and models, including brake and exhaust systems, tune-ups and electrical systems. With any service, we inspect all vehicle systems and give you a written status report at no extra cost.
Imported Autos
We service all models of Asian and European autos. E&G techs can diagnose and test drive train and suspension components, correct handling and drivability problems, evaluate emission controls and fuel injection systems for optimum performance and service ABS and traction management systems–all with a 3-year / 36,000 mile warranty.
Fleet Vehicles
For many small or start-up companies, outsourcing fleet management can be a time and money saving alternative to doing it in-house. We guarantee that all our fleet customers will receive a service status call within one hour of us receiving the vehicle. In addition, our vehicle database allows us to track your fleet's maintenance needs. Using this up-to-date catalog of information, we can work with you to institute a regular program of preventive maintenance. With a coordinated maintenance schedule, you can avoid or reduce costly emergency repairs.

Awards & Certifications
E&G Automotive's certified technicians are continually working to improve their service skills and knowledge. Here are some of the awards and certifications we've received as a result.
ACDelco Technician of the Millennium
In 2001, Eric Lubarsky participated in the ACDelco-sponsored Technician of the Millennium competition,
which attracted almost 5,000 technicians. Phase I of the competition comprised a 100-question written
exam. Eric passed it and was one of five technicians from this region who travelled to Florida for
Phase II, joining ten others from across the U.S.
In Phase II, the contestants diagnosed and repaired predetermined "bugs" placed in Buick LeSabres. Eric again passed and moved into Phase III, where for four hours six techs from the U.S. and three from Canada competed in diagnosing and repairing "bugs" in Chevrolet Malibus. At the end of the competition, Eric had the highest total score and was declared the winner, the Technician of the Millennium.
While Eric was honored that his skills were recognized, more important it means that E&G customers can expect the best from its team of technicians. Whether you drive a domestic or imported car, an SUV or truck, if you have questions about your vehicle's maintenance, call or stop buy. Eric and his staff will do their best to make you the Customer of the Millennium
Authorized Bosch Service Center
Bosch Car Service (BSC) is one of the most respected and revered programs in the industry and BCS
centers must pass a rigorous evaluation process to be accepted to the program. Here is how our BSC
authorization helps you..
Bosch Means Universal
Virtually every car on the road today is equipped with one or more Bosch components, from fuel injectors and oxygen sensors to anti-lock braking systems and traction control systems. In fact, Bosch not only manufacturers these and other parts and systems, they also invented many of them. They are a leader in the automotive industry.
Bosch Means Quality
To gain authorization by Bosch, E&G was evaluated on a number of criteria, including: location/accessibility, appearance, customer waiting area, technician training, number of bays, tools and diagnostic equipment on site. We guarantee that whatever model imported auto you drive–British, German or Japanese–we can repair and maintain it to OEM standards.
Bosch Means Peace of Mind
Because our techs are trained in Bosch systems, we can find problems and fix them faster. As a Bosch Service Center, E&G Automotive can honor the warranty on any failed Bosch system. In addition, your manufacturer's warranty on your late-model car will be protected whenever you use authorized Bosch Car Service to take care of your vehicle.
ASE Certified Technicians
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a non-profit organization that
tests and certifies automotive professionals in all major technical areas of repair and service.
With nearly 400,000 currently certified professionals, the ASE program is national in scope and
has industry-wide acceptance and recognition.
Certification Benefits Motorists
ASE certifies the technical competence of individual technicians, not repair facilities. By passing difficult, national tests, ASE-certified technicians prove their technical competence to themselves, to their employers, and to their customers.
How Certification Works
Technicians who pass at least one exam and fulfill the two-year work experience requirement become ASE-certified. Those who pass a battery of exams (and fulfill the experience requirement) earn Master Technician status.
The tests, developed by industry experts with oversight from ASE's own in-house pros, are administered by ACT, the same group known for its college entrance exams.
There are specialty exams covering all major areas of repair. There are eight tests for auto technicians alone:
- Automatic Transmissions
- Engine Performance
- Manual Drive Train & Axles
- Brakes
- Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Suspension & Steering
- Engine Repair
- Heating & Air Conditioning
ASE requires technicians to re-test every five years to keep up with technology and to remain certified. All ASE credentials have expiration dates.
